We have created the IKOR® Approach to help families manage short-term health crises and long-term care issues for seniors and disabled adults and children.
Without your guidance through the maze of medical choices presented and the thoughtful, professional analysis of our medical situation, my husband and I would never have found this beautiful facility
Meryl G, Pittsburgh, PA
From the many services you perform, perhaps the most comforting to our family is the knowledge that our parents are being monitored on an ongoing by IKOR®
Laura C., Silver Spring, MD
I am a Senior Executive in a large and growing multinational business. The work and travel load is considerable. When my husband's sole surviving parent began to fail, the task of dealing with her situation, fell to me. I had neither the time nor the training to do so. IKOR®was the solution for me (and no doubt saved some significant strains in my marriage). Just the fact that I can e-mail the case counselor at any time and from almost anywhere with questions and concerns is a tremendous benefit
The basis of the IKOR® Approach can be found in how and why IKOR® got its start. Our Founder through many years of nursing experience and working with seniors and disabled realized that there really wasn't any one organization dedicated to ensuring that the the personal wishes and needs of these individuals weighed most heavily in important decisions. IKOR® fills this void and has evolved as an effective solution to helping families manage short-term health crises and long-term care issues for seniors and disabled adults and children.
The services of IKOR® are used extensively when:
Families live at a distance from the elderly and/or disabled individual
The elderly and/or disabled person has family members
who are uncertain as to what to do or who may not be in agreement on what to do
Family members who have a challenged relationship with the elderly or disabled
The elderly or disabled person who is without an effective support structure
The IKOR® Approach
IKOR® understands your concerns and challenges, and often the stress of caring for an elderly or disabled individual. To meet your needs, we have established The IKOR® Approach. The IKOR® Approach addresses every medical, environmental and psycho-social issue impacting the individuals on going quality of life. Our team of Registered Nurse Patient Advocates evaluate and respond to the real needs of the person. The IKOR® Approach creates optimal choices that enhance each individual’s quality of life within the framework of their challenges.
The IKOR® Registered Nurse Patient Advocate (RNPA) is always available in times of medical crisis – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Once you have contracted for IKOR® services, an RN Health Advocate will initiate The IKOR® Approach. With the IKOR® Approach, an in depth assessment will be completed and a strategic plan of action will be determined for the individual. Whether the individual lives with you, or in a facility thousands of miles away, IKOR® can help you assure that they are receiving the highest quality of care, resulting in the highest quality of life. At the heart of the IKOR® Approach is Datikor™. If the individual is traveling, Datikor is there to assure that the medical care they receive is seamless and accurate.
