How does your service work?
We begin our work with a detailed interviewing and assessment process to understand our client’s needs. This first step may include a meeting with the client and their family members.
Objective information is collected through the initial assessment and used to formulate recommendations that address the emotional and physical needs of our clients; as well as the living arrangements that might work best within the limitations we have found
The RN Patient Advocate then creates and puts into action both short-term and long-term strategic plans. These plans often include the team efforts of the Personal Needs Coordinator.
The IKOR® team continues to monitor services being rendered to make sure that our clients continue to receive high quality of service and support, and proactively recommend modifications when needed.

Why should I use IKOR® Patient Advocacy services?
Knowledge
IKOR® RN Patient Advocates listen to families about the issues that concern them, and provide them in that first conversation with some general knowledge or information. Using our many years of collective clinical nursing experience to educate and guide the client and their family we have routinely proven that we have the knowledge to handle your concerns
Experience
IKOR® RN Patient Advocates have significant professional experience and bring that experience to bear through client education and guidance from our very first day of involvement. After our initial contact our IKOR® client families often relate thoughts such as: “ you’re just what I have been looking for” or “ you really know what you’re doing”. We believe you will find that we have experience in finding solutions to your specific issues as well.
Ability to get the job done
The most common questions/ concern we hear is- “ I’m not sure how to get my mom to let you help us. She’s very resistant to letting us do anything”. We tell families that we have had hundreds of clients from all walks of life and with all kinds of problems. Through these years, we have had exactly 1 client that we could not reach and work with. Because we’re nurses first, our clients view us in a similar light to any medical professional and they bond with us very quickly, looking to us for answers and support. Given this extensive track record of success, it is very likely we can reach your family member and succeed in working well with them.
Rapid Response
Families usually wait until things are unbearable, and so one of the big questions families have is how quickly can you see my loved one? We have been able to respond usually within the week, and many times with a day or two if a crisis has occurred.
Cost
Because the IKOR® Agreement is presented as a menu of services determined by the family or person, we can work within a families budget.
