Issues and Challenges
Mr. and Mrs. S married for more than 50 years, are an active couple who didn’t want advancing years to prevent them from continuing to travel and live as independently as possible.
Mr. and Mrs. S travel share their time between New England, New York, Pennsylvania and the islands in the Caribbean. In addition, they enjoyed occasional cruising. Both Mr. and Mrs. S had some ongoing medical concerns and were principally treated by a physician in New York.
IKOR® Approach
Through the findings from the IKOR® Initial Assessment, our RN Patient Advocate determined the current medical status and care challenges of both individuals. Using the IKOR® approach, the RN Patient Advocate assigned to Mr. and Mrs. S obtained the necessary medical and home care coverage specific to each client, and continued to assure the best care possible wherever they traveled. And with the dynamic system, Datikor™, every aspect of care, including all medical records are fully portable should a medical emergency happen for Mr. or Mrs. S, anywhere in the world.
