The founding of IKOR® |
|
|
I am a Registered Nurse by training, but I have also worked for a large pharmaceutical company and in disability case management. I have been fortunate to
have been able to serve on various boards and work with a variety of associations, many focused on the needs of the disabled and the elderly. It was through
my experiences that I witnessed the many frustrations in providing integrated health management services, and helping families manage short-term health
crises and long-term care issues. It became clear to me that there really wasn't any one organization dedicated to ensuring that the clients' wishes and
needs weighed most heavily in important decisions. Thus, the idea behind IKOR® evolved as a needed solution to the issues I observed. I began developing
the concept in 1998, and by 2000 had launched the company.
